Reflection to "Critical Thinking: The soul of communication"
After reading “Critical thinking: The soul of communication”, I have a deeper understanding of communication. I always believed that communication was essential in the workforce in the sense of ensuring everyone is aware of what their role is and asking for help if needed. I have never thought about it in a way that critical thinking plays a part in it as well. As the passage mentioned the potential fallout of not having effective communication in the workplace, and often it is not that these companies did not try to implement workshops to help with their workplace communication but more that they did not go into details of communication and critical thinking going hand in hand, and how it could be applied.
Communication and critical thinking will definitely impact me as a leader. With critical thinking, one would be able to sense make and build their thoughts to provide rational and clear reasonings. I aspire to be a leader who is vocal and able to communicate confidently and clearly to others.
